Postgraduate study. NEFU implements 61 postgraduate programs in accordance with the FSES in 24 areas of training. Training of highly qualified personnel in postgraduate studies is carried out at 47 departments of educational divisions.

The total number of post-graduate students as of January 1, 2020 is 381 people, including 268 full-time students and 113 part-time students. All NEFU postgraduate programs are designed and implemented in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Education Standards.

Residency. Training of highly qualified personnel in residency is carried out at 6 departments in 31 specialties. There is a total of 325 residents in 2019-2020 academic year. The Department of Residency and Internship coordinates the training of highly qualified personnel.

The clinical sites are medical organizations of Yakutsk and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Sakha(Yakutia) pursuant to an order of MH of the RS(Y) and by agreement between NEFU and Republican Hospital #1 – National Center of Medicine, Yakut Republican Psychoneurological Dispensary, Yakut Republican Eye Clinical Hospital, Children's Municipal Clinical Hospital #2, and NEFU Medical Clinic.
