Niigata University

At Niigata, research is integrated with education. We conduct both pure and applied research and the results are published at home and abroad. We see graduate studies as crucial to the further development of research and education at the university. To this end we are currently engaged in a reform program, with the result that research and education will be more centered around in the graduate schools. We actively work with institutions overseas and encourage students to participate in international exchange programs. More than 350 international students study at Niigata, some of whom are here on exchange. Lying by the Sea of Japan, Niigata's positioning makes it one of the important centers of international exchange in the North East Asian region.At Niigata, some 1,200 academics conduct research and education in which some 2,000 graduates participate. Over the years, we have accumulated a wealth of research and educational resources and we are most willing to increase the exposition of your intellectual property to the general public. We hope that everyone, children included, will deepen their academic interests through this opportunity.
