Polzunov Altai State Technical University

Polzunov Altai State Technical University (AltSTU) was founded inBarnaul in 1942. Today Altai State Technical University has about 13,000students. It is the largest university in the southern part of West Siberia.Over the past 78 years the university has trained more than 100,000 highlyeducated specialists. The University is a major scientific center conductingresearch in applied technical, fundamental, natural and economic fields. TheUniversity is among the TOP-100 Russian universities according to UniRankUniversity Ranking indicators. Altai State Technical University has amulti-level system for training students in Bachelor’s and Masters’s Degreeprograms, Specialist training programs and Candidate of Sciences programs. Theuniversity has developed strong partnership with the largest enterprises ofAltai Krai which is a part of the Siberian Federal District of Russia. AltSTU cooperateswith 40 foreign universities, developing academic  and students mobility and organizinginternships and practical training abroad. Altai State Technical Universityimplements joint research and educational projects with partner universities inthe UK, France, Germany, Spain, Greece, Austria, China and Mongolia. CurrentlyAltai State Technical University trains more than 500 foreign students fromIraq, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, China, Mongolia,Vietnam, Pakistan, India, Egypt, Nigeria, and Great Britain. Every year 1950AltSTU students acquire Bachelor's Degree and more than 300 of them continue theirstudies in Master's Degree programs. The rest graduates are successfullyemployed.
