Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción (UCSC)

The Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción is an institution of higher education with a Christian vision, dedicated to comprehensive training, as well as knowledge generation and transfer, in permanent connection with its environment in order to contribute to the development of the local and national community.

The UCSC offers several postgraduate programs in different fields of study. Their purpose is to offer continuing education to professionals, as well as contribute to the development of research.

Research at UCSC is preferably developed though a multidisciplinary approach, aiming to respond to the different problems that our society presents. The University has defined priority areas for research, and for this purpose, it has crated specialized advanced centres that contribute decisively to the generation of knowledge: Center for Research on Biodiversity and Sustainable Environments (Centro de Investigación en Biodiversidad y Ambientes Sustentables - CIBAS) and Center for Research in Education and Development (Centro de Investigación en Educación  y Desarrollo - CIEDE).
