Universidad de Valparaíso (UV)

The University de Valparaíso is a state institution, public and autonomous, based on a long tradition and his mission is to generate and disseminate knowledge cultivating science and technology, humanities and arts, through the development of programs for undergraduate, graduate and research, providing skills to train graduates, professionals and researchers that society requires, in a frame of quality management and commitment to regional and national development.

The values that inspires are participation, solidarity, equity, freedom, pluralism, critical thinking and respect to diversity.

 In this university are developed activities of education, research and extension in all the 11 faculties; we have 43 Undergraduate programs, 25 Magister programs, 10 Doctorate programs, 28 Medical specialities and 9 Dentistry specialities, in order to satisfy completely its 17thousands students and the necessities and interests of the country and mainly of the Valparaíso region.
