Universidad Libre

Located in the Colombian capital city of Bogotá, the Free University of Colombia (known as Universidad Libre in Spanish) was first established in 1890. The university takes its name from the fact it was intended to offer unbiased education during a period of political upheaval in Colombia, promoting the freedom of expression and thought. One of the top universities in Colombia, the Free University of Colombia has additional campuses in Cali, Barranquilla, Pereira, Cartagena, and Cucuta y Socorro.
