The Postgraduate School - UNALM began its activities in 1958, being the first to be created in Latin America. The EPG leads postgraduate agricultural education in Peru, training young researchers aware of and committed to the national problem. Scientific research starts from the natural resources available in Peru and uses technology according to our reality.

The academic activities are developed with the semi-annual modality of flexible curriculum and the system of valuation units denominated credits. It has two entry dates per year (March and August). The complete studies cover four semesters, at the end of which the student obtains the degree of Magíster Scientiae (Mg.Sc.) or the one of Magíster Profesional (M.P.). As of 2003 the EPG offers the degree of Doctoris Philosophiae. The candidate to the EPG must have an academic degree or professional degree of university level recognized by the UNALM and have excelled in their university studies. Likewise, he must have the ability and adequate preparation to successfully complete graduate studies with research in the specialty he is applying for. There are other requirements, which must be met according to the case.
