University of Malakand,Chakdara

The University of Malakand is one of the fast-growing Public-Sector Universities of Pakistan established in chakra Dir(L) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with the approval of the President of Islamic The Democratic Republic of Pakistan vide Notification No. Legis I (II)/2001 dated Oct 27, 2001. The mission of the university is “To Produce efficient and responsible graduates through research-oriented teaching in an environment which promotes and celebrates peace and diversity” while the vision of the university is “To be world-class University that provides education with a global perspective and Local focus”. Currently, there are 26 academic departments with 64 academic programs. There are 6265 students and 300 faculty members. The best researchers of the University of Malakand has earned Research projects from the national and international organization and proud recipients of the gold medal and other Research Productivity Awards by Pakistan Council for Science and Technology and HEC Pakistan.  The University of Malakand has been ranked in 19th position in Pakistan in the HEC General category ranking announced in February 2016 and 608th position in UI GreenMetric World university ranking announced in December 2019. The University of Malakand has been ranked in the range of 351st - 400th by QS Asia World University Ranking 2020.
