阿查里亚-纳加朱纳大学

Acharya Nagarjuna, a great Buddhist preceptor and philosopher founded a great ancient Centre for Higher Learning on the banks of river Krishna several centuries ago. The centre has attracted a large number of teachers and students from different parts of the world. Recognizing the significance of this, Government of Andhra Pradesh has started a postgraduate centre affiliating to Andhra University in 1967, to cater the needs of higher education in this area. The centre has grown up and paved the way for the formation of Nagarjuna University perpetuating the memory of Acharya Nagarjuna in the year 1976.
