Al-Maarif University College (AUC) has a great mission to advance knowledge in science, technology and areas of scholarship that can help to make the world a better place.

At its founding in 1993, in Al-Anbar province / Iraq, AUC was initially a small community of science lovers eager to bring their knowledge to bear and serve not only Iraq but also the whole world.

Today, AUC has evolved into a private educational behemoth in Iraq, with some 170 faculty members and more than 5,000 undergraduate students.

AUC is now an independent, coeducational, privately endowed university organized into six disciplines (engineering; sciences; humanities; social science; sports science; medical science and management science). Yet the principle of educational innovation remains at the core of AUC’s educational philosophy.

Al-Maarif University College seeks to spread education and serve the society in all aspects through providing a healthy environment to inspire the academic staff and enable graduates to deal with the latest technology in the working market.

Al-Maarif University College believes practical and theoretical knowledge both are important phases in learning and achieving academic accreditation to compete internationally.
