U.S. News & World Report ranked Alfred State College 25th among the top regional colleges in the North (2011). Alfred State is 70 miles south of Rochester and 90 miles southeast of Buffalo. The campus is located in the beautiful Southern Tier, surrounded by lakes, ponds, wetlands, and state parks.
