Applied Science Private University (ASPU) is a leading Jordanian university. Established in 1989 with a motto "A University for all Arabs". It was the first Arab university to receive ISO 9001 certificate concentrating on creativity and innovation; and the first private university to be licensed by the Ministry of Higher Education in Jordan. It is a cosmopolitan university, students from 59 nationalities purse different programs at ASPU. The University takes full advantage of this wealth of diversity in order to provide the best possible education and produce cutting-edge research.

ASPU ensures that internationalization is integrally embedded in its educational programs and research activities. ASPU trains professionals of tomorrow. Practical orientated research is an important component of the courses offered by its faculties.

ASPU spends around 5% of its annual budget on scholarships offered to its graduates pursuing their Masters and PhD degree programs in various disciplines, at European, Canadian, Australian and American universities.
