Weissman School of Arts and Sciences

The Weissman School of Arts and Sciences is the intellectual and cultural center of Baruch College and the home of the traditional liberal arts disciplines. Small enough to provide personal attention from faculty, it is also large enough to offer thirteen outstanding academic departments, numerous interdisciplinary programs, and a wide range of majors and minors.

Our priorities are to give our students the knowledge and skills they need to succeed academically as well as to indicate some practical applications of their learning in a competitive global environment. To this end, Weissman offers exceptional opportunities to broaden one’s expertise through links with the Zicklin School of Business and the School of Public Affairs.

Above all, our aim is to encourage students to become educated citizens of the world. The Weissman School benefits from its location in New York City, one of the world’s major cultural centers. Drawing on a diverse array of talent, Weissman offers a wide range of performing arts events and adds to those attractions with unique programs of its own.
