Core Literacy for Students in KMU

In KMU, we stree five core literacies for every student attending our school: professionalism, humanities, social awareness, global perspective, and self-learning ability.

•  Awards from Ministry of Education Teaching Excellence Project (2007-2016)

KMU received an award from the Ministry of Education, The Teaching Excellence Project, the 5 major objectives of this project:
1. Emphasize on both professional and liberal arts education

2. Trace and monitor the learning effectiveness of students

3. Create index of teaching to enhance faculty's teaching performance

4. Cultivate professionals in health care

5. Assist universities/colleges in neighborthood to promote teaching quality

• International standard Accreditation Assessment of Medical Education in Taiwan

1. Taiwan Medical Accreditation Council (TMAC) was founded in 2000
2. National Commitee on Foreign Medical Education and Accreditation (NCFMEA) had approved TMAC'S accreditation standards for medical school in Taiwan as well as programs leading to the M.D. degree in the United States in March 2002
   
3. KMU was inspected in 2005 and passed the assessment
