Created by New York University in partnership with a consortium of world-class universities and international tech companies, the Center for Urban Science and Progress (NYU CUSP) was founded with the goal of making New York City a world capital of science and technology.
Specializing in the emerging field of urban informatics, NYU CUSP’s courses incorporate:

Based in Downtown Brooklyn, a thriving cultural hub and hot spot for startups and businesses, NYU CUSP strives to make cities stronger, fairer and more inclusive.
With the Big Apple as its testing ground, NYU CUSP collects data and information to draw insight on urban systems, and has become the world’s leading center of expertise in this growing field.
Graduate programs at NYU CUSP combine data science and analytics with urban management studies, while familiarizing students with the processes of city agencies.
Alumni work at technology and consulting institutions, startups and governmental agencies.
NYU CUSP graduates include a public information officer at the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, a founding CEO of an urban science consulting firm, and data scientists at Bloomberg.
The Class of 2017 enjoyed a job placement rate of 85% within six months of graduation, and a high average starting salary of US$93,000.
