Transilvania University of Brasov (UniTBv) is the largest comprehensive public university in the central region of Romania, with 20.000 students and 700 teaching staff. Our students are enjoying the diversity and quality of the study programs (100+ bachelor programmes, 70+ master programmes, 18 PhD programmes), the beauty of Brașov city – a medieval town surrounded by mountains, in the heart of the country – and the vibrant and multicultural campus life.

Transilvania University of Brașov offers a wide range of courses corresponding to the first cycle of studies leading to undergraduate (BA/BSc) degree. Bachelors degrees (first cycle) have 180 or 240 ECTS, the equivalent to 3 or 4 years. The Medicine programme is an integrated programme (a course that combines a bachelor with a master) of 360 ECTS, the equivalent to 6 years.

The undergraduate study programmes cover 43 domains of science in the major fields of engineering, social sciences, humanities, arts, medicine, mathematics and sports. 106 of the undergraduate programmes offered by Transilvania University are full-time, but there are also 18 part-time and distance learning programmes. Most of our undergraduate programmes are conducted in Romanian, but there are also 7 programmes which are taught in English, and one in German (Applied Informatics).
