One of the oldest private universities in Chile, founded in 1982. At the present time, it teaches 29 careers in nine faculties and has two regional headquarters in La Serena and Antofagasta. Autonomous since 1993, in 2005 it was accredited in the areas of Institutional management and Teaching, by the Chilean National Commission on Accreditation. The Universidad Central de Chile includes pre degree, post degree, technical formation and academic Research. At present it possesses more than thirteen thousand graduates. The Universidad Central is located in Santiago, the capital city of Chile.
