Bachelor's degree is the first level of higher education. VolSU implements 43 Bachelor’s degree majors in various fields of knowledge, including: Mathematical and Natural Sciences; Engineering, Technologies and Technical Sciences; Social Sciences; Education and Pedagogical Sciences; Human Sciences. Standard period of study is 4 years.

Bachelor’s degree programs ensure the formation of systematic knowledge and practical skills that allow students to solve theoretical and practical tasks according to their professional expertise. After graduation, students receive a diploma of higher education, which gives an opportunity to continue education in Master’s degree programs or to successfully get a job.

VolSU also provides education in programs of first long degree in 4 areas: Economic Security, Information Security of Automated Systems, Forensic Science, Bioengineering and Bioinformatics. Unlike a bachelor degree, the standard period of study on these programs is 5 years. After that students receive the qualification of specialist.
