Zhetysu State University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov

Modernization of educational process is an important development strategy for university. Most common realizing mechanisms of educational processes modernization programs in the university are a change to multi-level education system, introduction of credit and distance learning technologies, modular training, use of innovation technologies in the educational process, internationalization of educational process, developing the academic mobility of students and faculty, training of multilingual staff. Three-level training of specialists (Bachelor, Master, PhD) is introduced in ZhSU named after I.Zhansugurov. The university train specialists on 40 undergraduate specialties, among them 22 pedagogical, 1 – humanities, 1 – law, 7 – social sciences and business, 2 - natural sciences, 3 – technical sciences and technologies, 4 – services; as well as on 18 postgraduate and 4 doctoral specialties. For international recognition of study programs, education quality improving, ensuring the mobility of students and faculty, continuity of all educational levels, credit teaching technology is implemented at ZhSU named after I.Zhansugurov. Organization of academic process within credit teaching technology is conducted according to the Rules of organization of educational process within credit teaching technology, approved by the Decree of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 20, 2011, No. 152.
