Zhetysu State University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov

Zhetysu State University named I. Zhansugurov carries out educational activities in accordance with the state license for the right of conducting educational activity No.12019969 dated December 21, 2012 within 21 master study programs and 6 doctoral study programs. Training within magistracy is carried out in the following areas: education - 18 specialties, business and service - 6 specialties, law - 2 specialties and natural science - 1. The contingent of students for 2015-2016 academic year is 291 postgraduates and 7 doctoral students, among them 95 postgraduates and 6 doctoral students study within the state order (within state grants). Coordinator for postgraduate studies at the university is the Centre of Postgraduate Education. Currently the Center works together with 15 chairs of the university. 161 faculty staff members, including 28 doctors of sciences, 124 candidates of sciences and 9 PhDs, are involved in teaching postgraduates at ZhSU named after I.Zhansugurov. Doctors and candidates of sciences carry out research supervision of postgraduates, and Doctoral Advisory Commission - doctoral students. In 2016 master programs were successfully completed by 203 students. Employment for 2015 of graduates is 100 percent. In 2014-2015 academic year 172 postgraduates passed research internships abroad.
