I.Zhansugurov Zhetysu State University

Zhetysu State University named I. Zhansugurov carries out educational activities in accordance with the state license for the right of conducting educational activity No.12019969 dated December 21, 2012 on 18 master specialties and 4 doctoral specializations. Training in magistracy is carried out in the following areas: education - 12 specialties, business and services - 5 specialties, law - 1 specialty. The contingent of students is 296 postgraduates and 6 doctoral students, among them 162 postgraduates and 6 doctoral students study on the basis of the state order (within state grants). Coordinator for postgraduate studies at the university is the Institute of Postgraduate Education and Staff Retraining. Currently the institute works together with 16 chairs of the university. 97 faculty members, including 23 doctors of sciences and 74 candidates of sciences, are involved in teaching postgraduates at ZhSU named after I.Zhansugurov. Doctors and candidates of sciences carry out research supervision of postgraduates, and Doctoral Advisory Commission - doctoral students. In 2012 master programs were successfully completed by 125 students. Employment of graduates is 90 percent. In 2013 158 postgraduates are going to master their study programs. In 2012 16 scientists and faculty of the university went abroad for researches.
